Mr Ilia ‘Elijah’ Putilin acts as the Deputy Head of Legal Services at the AIAC (formerly known as KLRCA). At the AIAC, Mr Putilin co-leads a team of counsels and supervises all adjudication, arbitration, mediation and domain name dispute resolution proceedings.
Currently, Mr Putilin chairs a sub-committee of the Sports Law Association of Malaysia responsible for the revision of the Sports Development Act 1997 and development of sports arbitration in the ASEAN region.
Prior to joining the AIAC, Mr Putilin practised principally from the Moscow offices of Squire Patton Boggs and Clifford Chance. He represented and advised clients in more than 50 cases before SCC, LCIA, ICC, ICDR and ICAC (Russia) tribunals, foreign and domestic courts of all levels, including the RF Supreme Courts, and international trade tribunals.
Mr Putilin is also co-authoring a title on blockchain regulations across the globe to be released in 2019.
